Aminata Kamara is a dual certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner at Vital Health & Integrative Care. The practice focuses on psychiatry, wellness and addiction treatment services, providing compassionate and holistic psychotherapy to patients of all ages throughout Virginia.

Aminata has extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She started her career in healthcare in 2011, and has experience in geriatric, hospice, addiction medicine, inpatient and outpatient settings.

Aminata has worked in several major hospitals, including George Washington University Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital. She received her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree (PMHNP) through Liberty University.

As a dual-certified nurse practitioner, Aminata Kamara truly centers her practice around discovering the various aspects that affect her patients’ physical and mental health, treating their health as a whole and not just their symptoms. Through active listening, she works alongside patients to create a care plan that enhances their well-being in all aspects.

Aminata specializes in psychiatric and behavioral health treatment at Vital Health & Integrative Care for postpartum depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addiction.
